When the new ID Card and Biometric passport are owned, can all other (apparently less than useful ID's) be scrapped?

eg., driving licence, blood donor card, fishing licence, National Insurance card, Medical card, etc etc etc.

@rhymer,
Probably not. How can anyone tell what vehicle groups you are licenced to drive by looking at your ID card?

They might be needed when visiting Fawlty Towers. Do not mention the war!

@contrex,
That's what I expect too!

If the new ID card replaced all my other cards I would gladly pay £30 for it, just for the convenience.
