Ok, I know this is a bit of a weird one - but....my two Siamese are getting on a bit. Sooner or later they will have shuffled off this mortal coil.
Now - I adore the feisty, loving, vocal, intelligent "out there" Siamese personality - but - I can't stand the fur of TWO of them in my apartment. So - have one, you say - well, yes - but - they love being with a friend.
So - I am wondering if any cats have their temperament and brightness, without shedding much?
Sphynxes are weird, I know - but, does anyone know about their personalities? One of the Rexes sheds less, I know - anyone know which one? What about THEIR personalities? Are they like Siamesers at all?
Thank you if anyone can help!
Wish I could help. Have you heard of ocicats? My sister bought one. They have a lot of siamese in them, but have spots. They are very vocal and wiry and smart. Sometimes annoyingly so.
Looks like the closest are in New Zealand....http://www.silverfields.co.nz/productdetails.htm
Do they not shed? Ocicats, I mean? They are glorious to look at - the ones that look like miniature leopards/wildcats? It is the shedding I want to avoid.
My sister's cat sheds a bit, but not so much that I'd really notice. Whether it'd be too much for you, I dunno. How about a hairless cat?
That's what a sphynx is!!!!
I have had a GUTFUL of cat sphincters!!!!
(Normally, this would constitute first salvo, but right now?!?......)

Oh!
So, are the colors on the skin? Or is there some sort of fuzziness?

One of the best things about cats is their fur! At least to me.
