If at first you don't secede, keep on sucking.

during the referendum on quebec sovereignty, a morning talk show host on local radio was taking calls on the subject, she kept saying, "how do you feel about quebec succeeding?", and "what should we do in the case of succession?"

i couldn't call in, and i wanted to climb into the radio and strangle her, the best part, she dedicated her entire 4 hour show, and not one caller nor anybody on her staff corrected her

There are some delusional saps who dream of secession, who even try to make some moves to push it along, but the idiots who generally run things here know where their bread is buttered. I appreciate the offer, bear, but that's the least of my worries.

If TX left the USA, what about those Texans that didn't want that to happen? Would they be hostages? If they left TX, could TX just claim their land?

I wonder what would happen if Texas seceded and immediately following a few million Mexicans decided to take it back and stormed across the Rio Grande leaving the defense of their new country to the Texas National Guard. Laughing

If we weigh the armament in Texas and the armament in Mexico, I suspect the scales would tilt in Texas' favor.

@DrewDad,
I don't know, man. They've got rocket launchers and full automatic weapons down there, and that's not even counting the government.

@roger,
plus, if the wind was blowing the right way, they could set fire to the pot fields, and take over while everybody in texas was at the taco bell drive-thru

Do you think we'd be allowed to declare war on Oklahoma?
