The forrest for the trees

What made you open your eyes? What did you see when you finally did open them. Good or bad.

I saw the inherent good in people. I always saw it. Could always find good in someone no matter how seemingly bad they were. I would preach this to my friends.

Then I came back to Iraq. Things changed. I saw people using a child for a shield of sending children with bombs strapped to their chest to front gates. People like that, I don't believe at all, that there is any good in that person. No matter what the cause they are fighting for.
