@JPB,
Away from the scene but just caught up with the news, abosolutely wonderful, looks like prayers have been answered. (((PIP)))
He's by no means out of the woods. The man is still in critical condition... but seemingly stable critical condition... if that makes any sense. As in: No change to report today.
But I do have some good news: The little angel (Pipsqueak) was correct in her assessment of all 6 exams being easy... for her at least. She scored A's across the board!

Love our girl to pieces.... ((((Babbling))))
Thanku ((((Bill)))) - you are a star - hugging you too. x
Wow Brooke, way to go! Good news on all fronts.
Just caught up to this thread and read all of the posts. What started as very bleak has turned to very positive and hopeful.
You can add my prayers for a complete and full recovery for Brooke's dad and comfort for her and her mom.
@Intrepid,
You're amazing Brooke! So glad you got all A's. Still thinking and praying for you all...looking forward to a time when your Dad is home. What I am praying for every day.
Thanks again Bill
Update: Today Daddy saw a specialist... and it sounds pretty good to me. Apparently, the fast distribution of "anti-platent (sp?)" in the ER should go a long way in helping her Daddy recover. The specialist said that given the severity of the attacks; each day's improvements though seemingly small are HUGE. The majority of people do not survive attacks as severe as his, and indeed, if you remember, they initially didn't think he would. It will take about 8 weeks to really know the extent of the damage: but that's music to our ears! 8 weeks to assess damage on a fella who was given 8 hours to live, last week?
Specialist says they should remain hopeful, though he is still in critical condition (huge upgrade, as "they" have been hesitant to say anything too positive). The main danger right now is the possibility of a second attack, as I'm sure you can well imagine. He's not in shape to take another one.
It gets even better! He is very mentally alert now, and speaks short sentences when he has the energy... lots of "I love you"s etc... and when he's too tired for that; he points at you then puts his hand on his heart. (I think this man has entirely too much to live for to give up. He is literally surrounded by love, 24/7)
It's still in God's hands, but our darling Brooklyn will forever be grateful for the gift of more time with her Daddy these past few days. Let's hope (pray) she gets thousands more! They are worth more than gold to our little Pipsqueak.
@OCCOM BILL,
Another awesome report, O'Bill. Keep 'em coming!!!

I'm beginning to suspect the old man was just playing a prank on y'all, mix you up a little ....
Bill, reading your updates is giving me a big grin every time lately.
@Thomas,
So good to hear! I am so thankful! Thanks Bill!
Wow, that's excellent news.
I'm not at all surprised to hear that Pip got all A's.
This is so great to hear! Thanks for the reports, Bill, and please tell Brooke that she and her Daddy are still in my thoughts and prayers.
Still praying and happy for small steps to brighter and stronger each day.
