I was in my house, and the phone rang. It was my son, and he told me to put on my TV immediately. It went on in time for me to see the second building hit.
When Kennedy was shot, I was visiting my grandmother with my son, and we were watching television. I saw the whole thing.

I saw Oswald get shot on TV.
I was 100% confident that Oswald had
no chance
of getting of town alive. I knew that with absolute certainty.

On 9/11 I was still working away from home and was at work with my usual morning talk show (locally produced) on the radio in the background. They abruptly veered off topic to report the first World Trade Center building hit, and stayed on that topic assuming that it was a tragic accident. When the second Tower was hit, the host said, "This is intentional folks." At that point I called my husband who was home and told him to turn on the TV. He began taping for me at that point until I got home later in the day.
I was also at work in Farmington NM when Kennedy was shot and somebody called to inform another coworker. One of my coworkers quipped "good" not realizing the severity of the situation. That was not well received by the rest of us and she promptly apologized.
We all sat solemnly before our television sets through the weekend of the state funeral. I was also watching in real time when Ruby shot Oswald.
Such events I think are always indelibly imprinted in our memories.
@Aldistar,
Quote:one of his very good friends, Jeremy Glick, on flight 114. He was the martial artist that led the revolt against the terrorists on the plane.
What a coincidence! Jeremy Glick, not all that common a name. One led a fight against the terrorists on that plane and another Jeremy Glick was, around the same time, leading a fight against the terrorists in the USA.

i remember my dad telling me about his experience with the kennedy assassination, he was fixing a furnace in somebody's basement, and when he came up stairs the woman was sitting in the kitchen crying, he asked what was wrong and she told him that kennedy was shot and had died
By the time I knew Kennedy had been shot, they had already printed newspapers about it. We were working near the park named for John Nance Garner, way off the beaten path. On the way home, we stopped at a store for sodas. My uncle said, "Hey," pointing at the paper in the rack. I felt immediate dread, knowing Lyndon Johnson now would be president. I had always had presentiments about him, from the time Kennedy selected him to run for VP.
When Kennedy was assasinated, I was in the third grade and had just returned to school after lunch. I heard about it in the playground before the bell rang for afternoon classes.
I was in Brooklyn (Kings County) New York.Watching my mom cry while she was watching the news
I had just gotten up and began my normal morning routine getting ready for work and checking my e-mail. I noticed a single picture of the first plane and thought to myself how the 'special effects' on the picture were quite realistic. Maybe it was a joke of some sort?
So I head to work, and it's as I'm listening to the radio that I figure out that the picture I saw was real. When I got to work, a solitary co worker was there calling other employees and telling them not to come in as the business had shut down for the day. Corporate headquarters was in the WTC.
Helped co-worker make a few calls then went home. Spent the entire day watching the news and looking for any updates I could find on the web news.
