Is there such a sign where you point and tap at the upturned palm of your hand?

@Bella Dea,
Due = The index finger of one hand is thrust into the upturned palm of the other several times.

May be a few others too.

@Bella Dea,
Good job, Butrflynet!

Could also be "discuss," "show" (especially if done wrong), and a few others...

What was the context?

Laughing My kid does it ALL the time. I thought maybe it was something they had taught her at daycare to mean food, or snack or something. But I guess she just picked it up somewhere and does it because she can.

@Bella Dea,
It could well mean "show" -- I think my kid did that a lot at that age. It was kind of like "look!"

Also kids adapt signs themselves, might mean something similar-ish like "more."

@sozobe,
And also people just get signs wrong! I've seen that a fair amount, that a parent shows off the signs he/she has taught the kid and they're all actual signs but the meanings don't all match up quite right... Laughing

Maybe ask the daycare if they teach it and if so what THEY think it means...

@sozobe,
That's what I thought it meant because she seems to do it when she wants something.

More or food or something.

I guess I could ask...I just didn't want to be the stupid parent. LOL
