It looks as though Mark is not a Hebrew name, but rather a Roman name--Marcus. As in Marc Antony--Marcus Antonius.

מרך might be how Mark is spelled, with a final Kaf instead of a Qof for the 'k' sound.

Also, מרקוס, is a more direct transliteration of the Latin MARCVS, being as how וis a Vav, 'v'.
