I rather like this idea, k!

A week of being feted, taken out for dinners & celebrations, a week of presents .....! Very Happy

I could cope with at!

@msolga,
We have a tendency to do the week-long birthday because the FAMILY is all so busy (damn the grammar). My neice and nephew sometimes get multiple week birthdays.

It is quite lovely. I like the small fetes better anyway!

@littlek,
well K my b'day is Dec 30 and noone ever celebrated my b'day for an hour let alone a week because everyone was toast following xmas. (oddly enough my weird aunt always remembered my bday even until this year and she is now 89. She still addresses me as Master Buddy.

@dyslexia,
Well Master Buddy, it could be worse I suppose. By the way, why Master Buddy? Do you know?

I have a friend who's birthday is the 31st of December. Everyone celebrates his bday, but not necessarily with or for him.

Yes, me too, k.
The smaller the celebratory gathering, the better. Means you can have some real conversations, as opposed to: "So how's the birthday girl, then?< jolly ho ho!> Feeling your age then? <ho ho!> Etc,etc, etc ...." Wink Laughing

just a guess but I think back in the day "master" was a title for a male child, re "Buddy"I think that my older brother called me "my buddy" a sorta "my brother" for a 3 year old.

@dyslexia,
I'll admit I never made the ******* banana cream pie but I was there at your house in whatever year celebrating. Tell me, honey, when is my birthday?
You poor thing. Actually, as circumstances would happen, we could start now for a Dys birthday for 2009.

I'll start saving bananas.....
