Putting in some hours at The Widget Factory on Saturday morning. (Maybe
someday the clown corps running this place will figure out how make a
rational schedule.)

Taking Clive to the gym after lunch. Further buffing my already Adonis-like
physique. [cough]

Applying adhesive primer to the bathroom ceiling, in prep for repainting.

Sunday morning at St. Pat's, then off to Shelburne Farms for apple picking and
(oh boy!) fresh hot apple cider doughnuts.

In the evening take the family out for dinner. Get home in time to watch Pats/Bolts.

Do you have the weekend off, Mame? Don't have to cook a turkey? I'm working Saturday and Sunday but my sons can only come for Thanksgiving dinner Sunday so tonight I'm making a vegetarian lasagna for Mr Fix-it to reheat Sunday afternoon. Monday the Mr and I both have off! Yay!

It's Oktoberfest out here too, and we'll check it out. Perhaps a movie too,
I don't know yet.

Okay guys. In the desert Southwest we cook Thanksgiving turkeys in November. (Also for Christmas and sometimes New Years). You guys are moving it up on the calendar? Or is this a different Thanksgiving tradition?

@Foxfyre,
Foxfyre: Mame, Tai Chi and I are part of the A2K Canajun contingent. Our Thanksgiving is this weekend. It's our harvest festival.

@George,
Canajun Thanksgiving is when a lot of us traditionally have the snow tires installed on our cars. When I lived in Sudbury, we put them on from Labour Day til Victoria Day (first Monday in September til the Third Monday in May). It can be a long snow season.

Ah how fun. I'm going to put it on my calendar too. That way I can celebrate Thanskgiving twice. I love Thanksgiving. Smile

@Foxfyre,
You should join in on our rainforest thread - we celebrate pretty much everything I can find on the care2.com calendar.
