@Ticomaya,
When I look at the standings, you're in second place Tico.
Do we each see different things there?

Full slate today, Hackey fans...

for those fighting in the middle or lower tiers, some hometown motivation for ya.

Our local team is not so great<they are turrible>, but they can fight rather well.

The team slogan this year...

The Wichita Thunder, Leaving their mark.

(how clever is that)

good luck to all that ain't russian oriented...

Fitting that the team colors are black and blue.

@Rockhead,
Minor league hockey is a gas!
We've got the Lowell Devils around here.
Reasonable prices, a great little arena and good hockey.

@George,
A window seat here is like $12 and I can't drink the beer there, so it don't bother me that all the Joe Plumbers are spening $5 a pop to be obnoxious...

(it would be nice to win though, we're like 2 and 9 at home...)

we DO lead the league in PM again.

Gram says she wants to go to one, but Ima make her watch one on TV first, I kinda don't think it's her cuppa...

El Stud and I are going to see our very first hockey game when we go to California to spend Christmas with our daughter and son-in-law--they have tickets to the San Jose Sharks game. We figure we either hate it or be diehard fans by the first of the year. Smile

@Foxfyre,
Foxfyre. I thought I was going to sneak away with Holmstrom. I was waiting for waivers to clear.
You had to go and ruin it.

@alex240101,
Oh so sorry. When I saw he was available couldn't resist. You know--found money and all that.

(Sorta made up for me foolishly and accidentally dumping Owen Daniels on my football team--and the guy who immediately picked him up beat me this past weekend. I would have lost had I had him, but it was the principle of the thing.)

@Foxfyre,
I have no idea if Holmstrom is good or bad, I just initially picked him as he has the same last name as a guy I was friends with in college.

Oops, my secret Chilled Puppy selection process has been revealed!

I am slowly----oh so slowly--beginning to evaluate these guys a bit, but still rely mostly on my Ouiji board for this stuff. Maybe after I actually SEE a hockey game, I'll understand it a bit better. But yeah, I think Holmstrom is supposed to be pretty good.

I'm hanging on by my fingertips trying to maintain 5th or 6th place and stay within striking distance of the leaders....but there's a pretty big gap there.

Fox, my Hungry Freaks are creeping right behind your ABQ Owls. Would you be so kind to please drop Mr. Jerome Iginla?
Thanks in advance.
