I'm using hotmail and I've just deleted an email in my junk folder which I believe was put there accidentally. Is there any way to recover this email?

I'm going to be bummed if there isn't, think it was to do with my homeworking ploy. Sad

@Kari 1,
If it's not in your trash folder now, there's probably no way to get it back.

@Robert Gentel,
How about checking in the recycle bin? I am scared to death to empty mine often, for fear of losing something forever. Sad

I haven't used hotmail in like forever, but I don't remember a 'recently deleted email' feature there but you might look for one. Some email services do hold deleted email for a few days. Mail I delete from AOL and Comcast does not go to the recycle bin though.

@Kari 1,
Thanks for your replies. I've seen a few downloadable programmes for recovering deleted mail, but I don't think it applies to junk mail and possibly has to be installed BEFORE the deletion.

I guess it's gone forever then. I don't get why it went into the junk folder, hopefully it wasn't what I thought it was. Thanks again.

@Kari 1,
Still can't get my username to show up properly. Can someone help? I've signed in with my usual username and it signs me in as Kari 1, I've signed in using my email address, signs me in as Kari 1.

Why? And what can I do now?

I'm not sure Kari, but put A2K in the search box and that will bring up all the A2K discussion threads. Pick an active one and ask and you'll probably get the attention of the board gods more quickly.

@vadivelaswin,
Yes, you can. Go to deleted emails folder, and look at the bottom side of the page. You will read "recover deleted emails'. You just need to click on this and your deleted junk emails will show in the list.
All the best.

@Kari 1,
Hello Friends,

If you are deleting from the spam folder then no once it is deleted from the spam folder it is gone. If it was in the inbox check your trash if trash has been deleted then it is gone. And No. Once the spam messages are automatically deleted from the folder after a period of time, they are permanently removed from the servers and can never be retrieved at all.

Thanks and Regards,
Duncan Jones

@Robert Gentel,
I'm afraid to say that, it can't be recovered. Very less software are there but they are paid but i have never seen anyone recovering from those softwares. i would suggest to take proper care before buying any software..
