I got calls the last two days where the caller didn't say anything. When I checked the phone number my home phone was listed. It said Unavailable for the callers name. Any ideas on how this can happen? Thanks!

@Victor Murphy,

In the last few years, Caller ID spoofing has become much easier. Millions of people have Internet telephone equipment that can be set to make any number appear on a Caller ID system. And several websites have sprung up to provide Caller ID spoofing services, eliminating the need for any special hardware.

@Victor Murphy,
You should be able to enable anonymous call blocking.

@DrewDad,
I do have that. If someone blocks their phone number a recording comes on from the phone company and says that they cant block their number if they want to talk to me!

@Victor Murphy,
I missed the part that said a number was listed, but that it was your home number.

Robert's right that someone's spoofing the caller ID system.
