Me too. Twice, once by a gardening contractor as a present of hydrangeas for his girlfriend. I'll admit he didn't dig out the plants, which were well established, but I was amazed. It was like a locust hit. (I never put him on a gardener recommend list again). Another time I caught a guy who was going to sell the hydrangea blossoms, and didn't seem to be too bad a guy. I told him he could take a few, if he knocked on the door first and I could watch that he didn't take too much and cut the stems correctly. That turned out ok.
