I am interested in learning about Sweden, especially their treatment of women. I have heard that Sweden is a very tolerant country and treats its citizens well. Is it true that Sweden treats its poor with compassion?

Yes, very true. It also does the same for the elderly segment of the population.

I was lucky enough to visit Sweden as a teenager many years ago and fell in love with the country. It is one of a small list of countries on my list to move to should I ever find the need to leave the United States.

For instance, Sweden has a fairly high amount of women on leading posts, company and government-wise.

the poor, or socially challenged, are helped getting out of their present situation by being offered jobs, which they almost have to take, otherwise their benefits will be reduced. Sounds tough, but works pretty good, if may say so.
