I was looking up stuff on Kosovo and Georgia, and came across this group.

http://www.crisisgroup.org/home/index.cfm?id=208&l=1

It is headed up by Oz's own previous Labor Foreign Minister, Gareth Evans, whom I have always had a lot of respect for.

I am gradually going through their analyses and suggestions, and I am really interested to know how they are regarded by people in the field (hoping Dasha will drop by!)

I am specifically wondering how well their information gathering is regarded, as well as their analytical skills, and whether their work has a real life effect?

I have seen both plaudits and criticisms on the net.

Anyway....I thought people might be interested in having a look even if you can't answer my questions....I am enjoying reading their material.
