Hi canoe3154
You are so right, I just ccouldn't get past the porky as being fat
and you have made it so simple.
Isn't it funny when you can't change it in your mind and you
go around and around in circles?
Thank you for your help.
Regards
Tigiie

Hi again tigiie,
I know where you are coming from. So many times I have been "so sure" I "knew" the answer but couldn't make the "answer" fit. Time away on a different xword and the answer generally just slaps me in the face. I am also lucky enough to have a xword savy husband who is a bulldog on the internet when I am stuck.
Good luck with your entry.

Hi canoe3154 & TICIAJO
Thanks for that.
Yes, sometimes your mind just doesn't register another meaning
for the clue.
If I am puzzling at night and can't figure out an answer (usually
because I am tired), I put it away until the next day and the
answer just jumps out at me the next day.
Its good that we can all help each other.
Warmest regards
Tigiie

I'm stuck on 107 across and 99 down - help!
I think 107 across should be gravy and 99 down should be surfeit, but I can't make it work.
