can you help me with these calculus problems guiding me with steps and explaining me how to do them please?

1) a flight from an airport in washington to laguardia airport in new york has to circle laguardia several times before being alowed to land. can you teach me how to plot a graph of the distance of the plane from washington against time from the moment of take off until landing?

2) the graph of fahrenheit temperature as a function of celsius temperature is a line . 212 F and 100 C both represent the temperature at which water boils. similarly 32 F and 0 degrees C both represent waters freezing point
a) what is the slope of the graph?
b) what is the equation of the line?
c0 use the equation to find what fahrenheit temperature corresponds to 20 degrees C
d) what temperature is teh same number of degrees in both celsius and fahrenheit?

3) for small changes in temperature , the formula for the expansion of a metal rod under a change in temperature is :
l - lo = alo(t-to), where l is the lenth of the object at temperature t, and lo is the length at temperature to, and a is a constant which depends on the type of metal.
a) express l as a linear function of t. what is the slope and vertical intercept in terms of lo, to, and a.
b) a rod is 100 cm long at 60 degrees farenheit and made of a metal with a = 10^-5. what is an equation giving the length of this rod at temperature t?
c) what does the sign of the slope tell you about the expancsion of a metal under a change in temperature?

38) a body of mass m is falling downward with velocty v. newton's second law of motion F = ma says that the net downward force F on the body is proportional to its downward acceleration a. the net force F consists of the force due to gravity Fg, which acts downward minus the air resistance, Fr which acts upward. the force due to gravity is mg, where g is constant . assume the air resistance is proportional to the velocity of the body.
a) what is an expression for the net force F as a function of velocity v?
b) what is the formula giving a as a function of v?
c) how do you sketch a against v?

14) a) which if any of the functions in the following table could be linear? how do u find formulas for those functions?
b) which if any of these functions could be exponential ? how do you find formulas for these functions?

the chart:
x: - 2, -1, 0 , 1, 2
f(x): 12,17,20, 21,18
g(x): 16, 24, 36, 54, 81
h(x): 37, 34, 31,28, 25

16) a photocopy machine can reduce copies to 80% of their original size. by copying an already reduced copy, further reductions can be made.
a) if the page is reduced to 80%, what percent enlargement is needed to return to its original size?
b) estimatethe number of times in succession that a page must be copied to make the final copy less than 15% of the size of the original

17) what 's the possible formula for the functions for these points plotted on a graph? (0,3) and (2,12)?

18) how do you write P = 15 e^0.25t in the form P = Poa^t. Does it represent exponential growth or exponential decay?

36) in the early 1960's radioactive strontium-90 was released during atmosphereic testign of nuclear weapons and got into the bones of ppl alive at the same time. if the half life of strontium 90 is 29 years , what fraction of the strontium 90 absorbed in 1960 remained in ppl's bones in 1990?

38) match the functions h(s), f(s) and g(s) whose values are in the table below with the formulas y = a(1.1)^s, y = b(1.05)^s, y = c(1.03)^s

assuming a, b and c are constants .

s: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
h(s) 1.06, 1.09, 1.13, 1.16, 1.19
------
s: 1, 2, 3,4,5
f(s): 2.20, 2.42, 2.66, 2.93, 3.22
------
s: 3, 4,5,6,7
g(s) 3.47, 3.65, 3.83, 4.02, 4.22 Laughing

#2 - You'll need to calculate some temps in both Celsius and Farenheit to start. That is, you have water's freezing and boiling points. How about some calculations of Celsius temps along a balanced line (e. g. 10 degrees C, 20 degrees C, etc.). Think of how you get from 212 F to 100 C - what would you have to do? You need to make the number smaller to get from F to C, right? How much smaller? Do you do this with subtraction, division, fractions or some combination thereof?

Have you ever seen a bank or the like where the time and temperature are indicated? Usually the temp is in both C and F. What's 25 C? What's 20 C? How do they correspond to F?

This is how you should set up this problem.
