Hi,
Can someone please save my sanity. I am tearing my hair out over 36D-couch potato and 53A-porky. I initially thought that 36D may be slob but then I can't work out 53A (could be fib but I can't be sure that porky would refer to a fib i.e porky pie, white lie. 36D could also be slug but then what would 53A be? If you put fat as 53A then can't work out 36D.
See my dilemma?
This is probably sooo simple but I just can't see it so any help would be truly appreciated.
Have a great day.

Hi somesac,
I have not started on the BIG yet, but I was intrigued by your dilemma ,so I thought I would see if I could find the right answer.
I think that 35d. Gain = profit .This gives you F. 36d. Couch potato = slob. This gives you B. That would make 53a. Porky = F_B.
On an internet dictionary site I found the word 'fub'.
It's described as 'an obsolete term for a plump or chubby child'. So maybe the word you are looking for to complete 53a. is FUB.
Hopefully, someone else will confirm this .
Good luck,

Hi
A porky is a word for lie. Thanks for that as I was still thinking of fat and couldn't get away from it. So that would make slob for couch potato.
