wwhat kind of worm or larva is this?

In our house we find black worm things, about 1" long , very narrow, look to be segmented and are too hard to squish. When touched , or drowned, they curl up.

Well.... not knowing where your house is makes it a little rough to guess put it sound slike a common millipede or maybe a pill bug.

more little black worm stuff, same person, same worms
They have no legs, they crunch when smashed. We live in NW Illinois, lots of humidity, unfinished basement, possibly waterbug larva?
