I opened the garbage bill today and I saw that they've added an $8 gasoline
surcharge. How come I can't recoup what I spend on gas from
somebody else too???? It seems like everyone else in
the financial system can but me. I guess it's just like
the rule of the world everywhere else. SH** rolls downhill,
and I guess I'm the most downhill of all, because it seems
like the rolling always STOPS right here. Darn it. I know this
trend is going to continue, and I am a little worried about
what is going to happen to our economy as a result of the
prices of gasoline - on top of everything else going on.
Anybody see a SILVER LINING here.
Rediculous, isn't it? I understand the concept of fuel surcharges, but they do get carryed away. Supposing you are in a resedential neighbor hood, they should only be allowed a surcharge based on the distance from one house to the next, which is maybe 1/100th of a mile. Do they contract with your city government? There might be some leverage there. Any service that is required usually has government oversight.
Yes, we consumers are always at the bottom of the hill that stuff rolls down.
Hi Babsat, good to see you.
