Hi saphi,

I think the answer is DETECT, which when "IVE" is added matches up with PI (private investigator). I'm sure Dutchy will confirm in due course..

But why?

It can't be detect as the U comes from another word which i am pretty sure is correct.

I concur with DEDUCT.
