I have P??C?A?T

And if anyone can help could you expain how you got the answer?

And could I be a cheat and ask for the answer to the Spirogram? I've mucked mine up so much I can't even see the numbers anymore. Embarrassed

Hi julksy,

57D PENCHANT. I reasoned liking was ENCHANT with P from the front of parking. Put together you have PENCHANT which is the same as entrance.

Spirogram answer POLITE.

Hope this helps.

Canoe.

Julksy, Very Happy thanks for asking question first ..was totally stuck on this clue, 57d..I haven't had 'penchant' in xwords for awhile..but being newbie to cryptics would never have thought of it..

Sorry to be a party pooper, but this seems to be in a bit of a twist.
PENCHANT = liking
P (for parking) + ENCHANT (i.e, entrance, as in 'he was entranced by her beauty')

Good luck all!

It's pronounced 'ponshon' (say it with a French accent and don't quite enunciate the last 'n' and you may recognise it)
