Any ideas with the following ?

98 Dn:Graze (leather): S _ _ _ _
107 Ac: Utilisation: _ _ C _ E
117 Ac: Epidemic Disease: _ _ P
47 Dn: Lacy Dressing Gown: N _ G L _ G _ E (Maybe a Tradename ?)

I don't usually do these, but 47Dn could be negligee

You're in luck, have completed mine. Smile

98d = scuff
107a = usuage for 99d you should have 'evacuee'
117a = flu
47d = negligee

Nice to be the catalyst for such debate.
Thanks for your help Dutchy - I'm most appreciative.
I did think of 'flu' for 117 Ac, but had 'escapee' for 98 Dn, hence my difficulty at solving this one.
"Negligee" is a new one for me ! I would have thought a more logical definition for such a word might be something to the effect: "victim of negligence" ?!?

23a = fittings.

For 5d you should have SCORN that get rid of the 'K' you have.
