What is Ethane????????????
Ethane is a chemical compound with chemical formula C2H6. It is the only two-carbon alkane, that is, an aliphatic hydrocarbon. At standard temperature and pressure, ethane is a colorless, odorless gas.
How 'bout you type that into Google and find out.
If this is how kids do homework these days, I tremble for the way the world will be in around 20 years.
Its one of the hierarchies of hydrocarbons. They are all comprised of H and C in varying numbers.
Propane, Hexane, Methane, Ethane, Octane, Decane, Heptane, Butane... all forms of hydrocarbons in varying sizes.
Methane is CH4
Ethane is C2H6
Propane is C3H8
Butane is C4H10
etc...
Ethane.
