Factoring a multivariate polynomial by grouping: Problem type 1
Waaaah!
I really don't understand this one at all.
7x+7z+xt+tz
There you go.
7(x+z) + t(x+z) = (7+t)*(x+z)
The way I'd recommend to a novice
7x+7z+xt+tz
group variables
(7x+xt)+(7z+tz)
factor out commpn variables
x(7+t)+z(7+t)
note that bothe have common factors
regroup
(x+z)(7+t)
check amswer (always important)
7x+xt+7z+zt
it works
Rap
My question would be....why!
This reminds me very little of the song
Quote:ARTIST: Tom Lehrer
TITLE: Wernher Von Braun
Gather round while I sing you of Wernher von Braun
A man whose allegiance is ruled by expedience
Call him a Nazi, he won't even frown
"Ha, Nazi schmazi," says Wernher von Braun
Don't say that he's hypocritical
Say rather that he's apolitical
"Once the rockets are up, who cares where they come down
That's not my department," says Wernher von Braun
Some have harsh words for this man of renown
But some think our attitude should be one of gratitude
Like the widows and cripples in old London town
Who owe their large pensions to Wernher von Braun
You too may be a big hero
Once you've learned to count backwards to zero
"In German oder English I know how to count down
Und I'm learning Chinese," says Wernher von Braun
