You would think a dog would never go near a porcupine again after such an attack, but some dogs actually get addicted to the substance that is secreted from the quills. It's the reason a percentage of dogs will continue to go after porcupines again and again despite being turned into a pin cushion each time.

Perhaps the dog is hopeful that the next time....
