I don't care what T.S. Eliot said!
Here is a snippet of a poem by Triny Finlay called "Of February":
And February is always
the shortest kid in the class,
pale, ready for a fight
Calls you an a$$hole like he means it, like it's your first name
but copies your spelling homework
Yep, that's February alright.

It was 72 and sunny here today, and a couple dozen of my daffodils are in full bloom.
hehehe.
We haven't had a great deal of winter in Houston. I was sweating today.
It gets pretty cold here in Santa Barbara. Sometimes you need a sweater ; )
Yesterday I clipped
Forsythia to force bright
Blooms. The sap is rising.
gonna walk down to the woods and look over the sugar maples. I wish I knew how to make maple syrup without boiling a big pot of sap all day

Happy Birthday Quincy! (I take it you're not buried under a foot of snow!)

Me too. We have loads of snow, but we can take comfort in the fact that it should be all gone within 3 or 4 months.
It is always warm on Valentines Day. My birthday
The azaleas are in bloom. Winter is busted. I wish it would snow.
February is definitely the cruelest month. I lost my dear father on the 8th of February this year. Never liked February. I guess now I never will.
