I just finished reading it for the second time. I really like this book. It amazes me that Bradbury predicted soo much that has become true.
I bought it to reread and haven't yet.......
read Geroge Orwell's 1984 yet?
No i think i my dad has it though. Same concept?
yeppers, just as good and better
--I'd like to interject here and say that Tyrius has been a fine new addition to A2K.
I'm big on science fiction, but never cared much for Bradbury, though his "Pedestrian" short story was one of the best. Hopefully, I'll remember this title on my next trip to the bookstore.
Hehe thanks.
Pedestrian i shall look for that one.
I think 1984 was on the recommended reading list. How did i overlook it =/.
Oh yea i do have it and will start reading it tomorrow.
I agree with Fea and Dys, welcome aboard Tyrius!
Thanks
I think this is the best board ive been to yet
*prepares for school*
im quite bored atm.
Bored isa good think. Consider how busy you'll be in a moth.
.............You're right juggling school , sports , and community service. thats gonna suck
Fahrenheit 451 is one of my absloute favorite books! I have read it no fewer than 15 times.
Yes, the book is incredibly prophetic. As an English teacher, I suppose the book has even more meaning for me. My 'favorite' part was when Captain Beatty visits Montag and goes on for about eight pages about how it all came to be. That's where the truth lies.
I like the part when Montag realizes how much books mean. The part when the woman died for the books.
The movie was very well done, too, i thought . . .
What else did you like, Tyrius? I haven't read that book for AGES - Loved it when i did, though.
I used to love Bradbury.
