Diane did some Sensible Research.

I goofed again.

The full moon for February is on Wednesday, the 20th, but I have my face fixed for howling on the 18th. I'll start on the 18th and howl intermittently in fits and starts until the 21st.

The 18th will be devoted to Squinney's kidney stone. Perhaps we can shatter it.

Squinney, I understand why you want the damned thing out. Wishing you well. And may your pain be gone.

Pain is completely gone. Never passed the thing, or if I did I certainly didn't know it.

But, the pain is gone. That's a good thing.

Still no pain... or indication that it passed. If it is still there, do you think that's a problem? Do they just stop hurting for a while and then the kidney shuts down without me knowing or what?

I've no clue, but worry. I figure you have researched all the top med sites. You might be able to ask questions on some of them..

pain relates, to some extent, to nerves, and, well, I don't know. I don't think you can count on it having dissolved if you don't feel pain at a given time. Or maybe it has. Oy! Maybe they even routinely do that.. don't know enough.

stones only hurt when they're on the move... most people live their lives with a few and never even now it... they are not especially tied to renal failure...

One of the fringes of Mr. Noddy's family was a twelve-year-old with kidney stones. He'd had great pain, been thumped and probed and was due for surgery when he passed a sizable stone with absolutely no drama.

He noticed because it rattled when it hit the porcelain.

you can hear them pop when they hit the side of the bowl.... sometimes they just sort of slow down your flow or stop it for a second and you feel the release but with little or no pain... other times it hurts like hell... I[ve passed a few more in the last couple of weeks... i am however taking natural haling steps... juicing and cleansing... to rid myself once and for all and then keep them away... it seems to be giving positive results...

I haven't heard anything and we talk a lot... so I think nothing's moving around on her right now.

A natural healer gave (well sold us) us some marshmallow root to soften the tones and assist in them passing... whether or not squinney has followed up and taken them regularly I don't know but her track record for full compliance with any medication is not good Laughing
