Another puppy passed to the doggie heaven. Krispin, the dog that was his own master. He was nearly 15 and happily deaf for the past few years. Didn't hear the car coming. Xrays showed his hip joint was dislocated and would need surgery. Vet adviced against it.
Mom made him ham and eggs for breakfast, and dad took him to the vet office one last time. He will be burried in our garden this Saturday.
I will, once again, not be there.
i just hope he hasn't been in too much pain. i'm comforted by knowing that he wolfed down the ham and eggs my mom made him for breakfast. i was hoping he'd pass away peacefully of his old age, but that was not to be.

It's a heartbreak when you lose a pet that owned you for that long.
I feel for you, Dag.
The pets I lost are also buried in the garden...

Krispin will join Bibina, Jessina, and Filip in our garden.
He did have a very happy life.

I'm so sorry, Dasha.
Beautiful pictures that do show a happy life. I love that last one, what a great face. (Cocker spaniel/ Irish setter mix?) And what a sweet puppy!
As an aside, I'm glad that you've decided to go home, you obviously miss it a lot. I'm sorry that you'll have to wait several more months before you can make that happen, though.

i do, soz. there will be a candle lit for me on his 'funeral' this saturday at least.
he was an english cocker spaniel - they look just like mini irish setters. very lively personalities. his life was full of rivers, lakes (he love love loved water), forests and mountains. though the last year or two his most favorite place was in front of our fireplace, sleeping most of the time. poor old fool, wish he was a bit less reckless in his old age. his body slowed down, but he was still a puppy in his mind.

Dag--
You won't be there for his burial, but you'll always have a piece of him in your heart.
I'm thinking of you.

I am very sorry for your loss.....such a beautiful dog. I lost a dog last year due to her bad hips and it was awful!! I truly know how you feel. Take care!

I see by the first picture, he had the run of the place. What a great life he had. My condolences.

Ooooh... I am so sorry, Dag. What an agonizing set of decisions your parents must have had to make. I'm glad you got to see him during your vacation. I type, I ramble. Not knowing what to say.
