lost some trees. one big chunka maple on smoky's van, but it already has a date with the shredder, so I don't really care.

nothing else was under the carnage.

gonna take my big saw and go help mr vw.

he lost some more giant elm, but I called and warned him, so casey's car was elsewhere when it crashed...

The plants and fishy things should enjoy that.

Interesting...this is what they show currently on radar for your area. Must be a lot of moisture in the air that makes it look like rain.

I hope they are correct about the cooler temps for a few days.

spoke to the granddaughter. she will be here Monday, and we are still 3,000+ apart.

I don't see how she can possibly just show up and do an estate sale, but we'll see...

I think my head is gonna explode.

See if you can help her run the estate sale to earn money toward that $3000 to be added into the negotiations.

We're supposed to have cooler temps for a few days here too, all the way down into the 80's. Unfortunately, the high winds and dust storms are coming with it.

It was so dusty this afternoon you couldn't even see the Sandias.

putting a buncha old crap out on tables and hanging signs is not gonna save her. or be worth her time and trouble.

there is nothing here, and we are out in the boonies.

and the weather is hellish with freak storms.

I have no desire to sit outside for a week in it and wait for someone to wander through and walk away...

I offered her an extra grand not to have the sale, and I would sell off the few decent bigger ticket items to offset my money. a broken riding mower, a tiller, 2 freezers and a chipper.

and a buncha junk and some fishing poles we have no idea what are worth...

long and short, she owes more on his bills than she is gonna get from the farm.

and her worthless brother is trying to keep his house in town (it was smoky's as well) and not pay anything...

she is outta cards.

I'm over to mr vw's. he's passed out.

I'm up unwinding and trying to finish my supper.

we moved all of his brush and chunks out to my brushpile today. on a crappy borrowed car trailer with backwards lights...

we were gonna work on moving my front pile back as well, but I vetoed that plan.

I really needed to eat well. so I can kick ass again tomorrow. (I crushed smoky's van this morning before we started moving brush. 5,200 #)

mr vw wanted a steak, even though I can't do that yet. I said cool. Ima make me a chicken griller wrapped in bacon, but no cheese.

he opted for one of those instead rather quickly, even though I coulda made him a rockin steak anyways.

and then I found goat cheese at wally's. really good goat cheese...

and here I sit trying to eat just a little more.

heavenly it is...

red peppers, yellow grape tomatoes, portabellas, with creamy goat cheese, stuffed inside a chicken breast, wrapped in bacon, and slow smoked over hickory chunks.

mmmmmmmmmm...

and a little sangria.

with grilled bi-color corn and steamed broccoli.

and bacon shrimp appetizers...

gotta get out and start moving brush...

my friend J (the shift knob magnate) is coming out tomorrow night with his partner to grill and relax.

also to help me set up my guns to work better. I'm not a natural born painter...

(none of my chickens are for eating. they cost too much when wally's has 'em ready to go for $6.)

gonna go move my picnic table to it's new spot under the tree by the chicken coop. it's not grassy and nice yet, but I want the current space.

I need the open lawn next to the pond. much easier to keep mown...



the weather continues to be freaky mild, and I continue to try being freaky productive...
