Now I want to look up more about them. I remember liking Yes, but in passing, as I've mentioned my new then lack of attention.

I wrote that before seeing the rest of your post, Bear. You've got a convert.

Also I liked that first guy, Soriano or whatever his name - will check it tomorrow.

Surely time for me to be quiet now.

And maybe the next while. Time to let others get a word in edgewise.

Crowded house was formed in the washup after the breakup of New Zealand band Split Enz. "House" was fronted by Tim Finn with Paul Hester an base aaaaaannndddd " A Seymour" All New Zealnders.

So stricly speaking not an Oz band.

joe satriani is an incredible guitarist.

Check out steve vai also. He was a student of Satrianins and many people, myself included think he has surpassed him.

If Yes is my favorite band (and they are) Steve Vai is my favorite guitarist.

Here's Steve shredding a little

I was never impressed with Lars as a drummer though..

I always wondered what they would have sounded like had Dave Mustain stayed and maybe they had someone like Dave Lombardo.

now THAT man can play the drums!

Please, if we're talking heavy... we must genuflect and worship at the altar of THE Metal Gods....

Most is. I agree.

Every now and then you find someone (band) that really has talent playing fast music . not too often though. ( read mainstream hair bands..)

Given that I don't like underlying tracks, although possibly sometime, I'll pick #1.
