Hi, this may be a rather obvious question but... I bought a 30 GB camcorder for Christmas. To complete editing I have to transfer the files to my laptop. Once edited I want to burn a copy onto DVD. My laptop does not have a DVD burner, so I have to buy one.
My question is, do I have to buy an external DVD burner for my laptop which will be of no value in a year or two when I buy a new computer or can I in some way connect my laptop to a regular DVD burner, as in the type you connect to your TV. This would be more practical in the long run.
Thanks for any and all help.
I personally think you should get a external DVD burner, the internal DVD burner in the new computer can't read some format media files. I also got a
Sony NEC Optiarc DVD Burner for my parents, it works well all the time, you can have a look.
