I guess I will have to vote for the first one, since every one else seems to be opting for the second, but one thing that seems to being overlooked here is how Wally is going to react regarding his own hairstyle.
Wally and Chai are a couple of the hippest cats I have ever had the privilege to encounter and just seeing those two big-haired people approaching me on the street causes me to smile and feel good inside, because I know, invariably, one of them is going to say something like, "Far out, Gus, like, what's happening, dude?" And then the three of us will duck behind a garbage dumpster, light up a joint, and talk about Led Zepplin and The Doors.
But now, with Chai cutting her hair short, I fear that an aura of respectability will surround her and the drug habits and crazy talk will be whisked away like dust in wind.
And... back to Wally: surely he will shorten his hair from its current length...
I... I... don't know. This whole thing is making me a bit uneasy. I feel as if I am the last man standing.
