I'm going in and getting a short haircut!

Maybe not exciting for you, but I've had long hair for years. Meaning a couple/few inches past my shoulders.

Got a cut six weeks ago, lots of layers, shortening to shoulderish length.

I've been scrunching, geling and finger combing for the "just laid look"

Now I'm ready to take the plunge...

Ok everyone...time to vote...

which one do you like best? (I've got dark red hair, won't be highlighting thank you very much)

basically ears showing or not..

If he's like me and loves the mischevious pixie look, go for the ears on show option. It also gives him something to nibble during a slow dance.

hmmm...I'm leaning towards #2 also...

I just turned 49, and that looks a tad more mature (because I'm so damn mature). But with a little teeny tiny more layering on top.

as far as the pixie look, I'm going to stop by the party supply store and get some Mr. Spock ears.

You'd see, you'll be fussing like crazy with #1 to get it to "look just right", while #2 is definitely more "care free".

I think the cuts are similar. If you get #1, you can also put hair behind your ear as the lady in #2 does, Or vice versa... with #2, you can flip the hair tucked behind ear out in front of it.
