He could be a curly coated retriever or maybe a water spaniel. Can't be sure. Where did you get him from? The place or people you got him from would probably know.

One thing I am sure of. He's VERY cute.

I'm with Roberta, but he might be smaller -- cocker spaniel or something like that. Probably a mix of a few, might even have some poodle in him.

My guess: A mix of miniature poodle and something else, perhaps cocker, making it a cockapoo. I'd say it's mostly poodle, judging by the coat, legs, the rather pointy nose and its general shape and size, as best I tell from the photos. If it had more cocker, the nose would not be quite so long and would be a bit broader.

I've had two black poodles and the folks next door had a cockapoo - not my Nick's produce, however.
