indoor garden?

OK, plant folks, I got a question. I have a giant three tiered spider plant, at least I call it a spider, and it has varigated leaves. (no pix, I'm challenged)

Here in the middle, we call the all green leaved (non varigated)version "airplane plants". Is this local wierdness, and are the two plants just versions of the "spider"???

I've heard spider plants called "air plants" because of the little roots the babies wave in the air.

"Airplane plants" is a new one. Do you have a picture.

I will take one, but don't wait up....

Hi everyone todya am newbie here and i want to say that I am interested in having an indoor garden, in just containers for food crops. Has anyone else tried this? I am worried about bugs in the house, and the amount of sun needed.
