Msolga--

What can one buy for a woman of wit and charm and a solid perspective on the vicissitudes of life?

Material gifts are worthless. You deserve rapt admiration.

Quote:
When life seems full
Of clouds and rain
And I'm full
Of nothin' but pain
Who soothes my thumpin', bumpin' brain?
Nobody

When Wintertime comes
With its snow and sleet
And me with hunger
And cold feet
Who says "Here's two bits, go and eat"?
Nobody

Well, I ain't never done nothin' to nobody
I ain't never got nothin' from nobody, no time
And until I get something from somebody, sometime
I don't intend to do nothin' for nobody, no time

When Summertime comes
All warm and clear
And my friends see me
Drawin' near
Who says "come on in and have a beer"?
Nobody

Well one time when things was
Lookin' bright
I started to whittlin' on a stick one night
Who said "Hey! That's dynamite!"?
Nobody

Mmmm, I ain't never done nothin' to nobody
I ain't never got nothin' from nobody, no time
And until I get something from somebody, sometime
I don't intend to do nothin' for nobody, no time

I ain't never done nothin' to nobody
I ain't never got nothin' from nobody, no time
And until I get something from somebody, sometime
I don't intend to do nothin' for nobody, no time

So there!!! Evil or Very Mad

Yes, yes, the older I get, the more I agree with that, Noddy.

(Note to myself: I must send some heart-felt, non-material gifts to the gift thread! Very Happy )

I gave many gifts on that thread, Msolga. Never got one back. That's ok. It is better to give than receive. It is better to be a humble giver than a greedy receiver.

I fancy a bit of the reciprical, myself, Intrepid!

But, never mind, I can understand your feelings.

So I'm now posting something very special & quite exotic to you, all the way from Oz!

You deserve it!

How's that? Very Happy

So here you are, msolga, still kvetching. I thought maybe you weren't online today or yesterday. Why? My dear msolga was too disgruntled to stop by my birthday thread and wish her friend a happy birthday. No, I ain't giving you the link. Find it yourself. I've gone from gruntled to disgruntled. Thanks to you.

Moi in a disgruntled state:

Despite my disgruntled state, I have something for you--right here. You don't have to go to another thread.

There's nothing there, you're saying to yourself. It's not nothing. It's the absence of job applications. Very Happy

Thanks for the kind words about the kvetching, deb.

I have no idea whether msolga has a job or not. I gave her an absence of job applications as a gift because I know she hates dem tings.

Thank you, thank you, Roberta!

Best pressie ever! Very Happy

Deb, I have as much work as I "fancy" at present. Just enough. (without having to resort to the dreaded, torturous applications. I think I may be suffering from Application Aversion Disease. Just thinking of doing another one makes me feel a little ill.)

As for the future, who know?

We'll see!

Yes, a reasonably good short term position, Deb. Saved me a lot of angsty head aches!

You sent me a pressie! Surprised

Thank you! I will sneak in & collect it when everyone's asleep!
