First of all welcome to A2K, and gl with your entry.

I don't have the crosswords myself, but here is what I came up with:

Nub & Bots

Quick definitions (nub)
noun: a small piece (Example: "A nub of coal")
noun: a small lump or protuberance

Quick definitions (bots)
(n. pl.) The larvae of several species of botfly, especially those larvae which infest the stomach, throat, or intestines of the horse, and are supposed to be the cause of various ailments.
