The problem fresco is that someone is guiding your mind with those sort of things.
Why don't you play on Acronyms and free your self expession and wit?
Well, using names in the acronym and not relating the meaning of the acronymal phrase to the word in use, doesn't denote such a high wit, in my book...
Debbie,
....also TRIFOLD (threefold type paper wallet).
Spendius,
Its just a "speed thing" for me.
I either see it all, or I can't be bothered.
Hi Canada
Your clues are from our Holiday Collection Giant Cryptic.
My answers are almost similar to Fresco.
7a = buckled
19d = launder
63d = trilogy (a group or series of three related works - books for e.g.)
Dutchy ..TRILOGY...of course ! (Volume =book)
Hi Canada
Sorry but I forgot to verify "essay" for 71 across as submitted by fresco.

Mant thanks for all your answers, unfortunately they came to late for posting. My fault I will have to give you the clues sooner rather than later.
Thanks anyway.
