I heard some interesting programs on the radio recently about how young people online have been dissing old people, and how there is an "i hate young people" web site. I'm not surprised--there's nothing new under the sun.

Really? Can you get the link? Your not dissing the boy are you Set.

I heard the apposite, and hate was not used but, they said that the old people should die because they were polluting the planet.

Now I think both things are not nice, and it's not nice of you to say that to the boy.

I find the responses of yours which i have read over the last few days to be surreal. You are sticking your nose in a conversation between me and the author of this thread, a conversation with no insults or anger on either side. I begin to find your responses snotty and opinionated, quite apart from evidently deriving from a complete misinterpretation of what people are saying.

One can visit the "I Hate Young People" website by clicking here.

I cannot link directly to an audio of the program, but the CBC's Search Engine radio program index page has a listing for the September 20, 2007 program, which included the story on "I hate young people." One can click here to be taken to the index page for the program Search Engine. If one scrolls down the page to the entry for September 20th, there are links to download a podcast of the program, or an MP3 file of the program.

Do us both a favor, Angelique, and pretend i don't exist.

KK,

1-First of all sticking in the conversation...everyone can stick in a thread conversation, and does here.

2-Dissing...They way that most diss each other around here it looked that way.

Note, most not all.

3-You could have spoken about something more positive to the young man. Did it upset you that he noticed that most here are very old?

And, some of the old here are very nasty if he reads some of the closed threads here.

4-Very well set, you don't exist, you never have, and never will. *smiles*

By the way this whole place is surreal.

As for old people, they are all over the net. And the younger people can only hope that when we meet, pearls of wisdom will come out of their mouth, and not tell us about sites of hate or curse words in another language.

In a world that is so full of hate; young people do not need to be told about particular hate sites.

Example of nastiness!

As I said a long time ago, I work with teens, and things like the ones I mentioned above really upset me.

I've argued with Set, always emotionally when I did.
However, I regard him well.

I've seen you attack at least one lovely person, Angelique, with expletives.

I don't want to hear about niceness from you. (never mind your stuff against italians, which I'll take as against some italians, though that may be giving you benefit of doubt.)

At the same time, I'd like you to re-engage here as your most straightforward self, for our conversation. Not as a taunt, but to talk.

You don't want to hear them, don't read them!!!

People like you, and others here have made me tough, and I thank you for it.

People like you, and some here think you know it all, and are right about everything. Well enjoy it because that is all you have!!!

Now, do you like that better than niceness?

Angelique, that you work with teens isn't - given your apparent rage - a plus thing, for some of us.

And, since some of you old time regulars like to go on, and on with a thread even insulting each other I would like to end it here!!!

A superlative peer group perhaps.

Hey ksanfo, the time spent gleaning the pearls here may be better spent studying.

Look up mnemonics and tell us what you find.

What are you studying?

Fine. Come back when you feel like engaging in discussion.

You don't know which or any of us is on your side of something. You are assuming you are railing against enemy.

This is not necessarily true.

I'm sure you don't want to hear this from me, now a probable enemy, but
you could benefit from looking at logic sites and - while sites you agree with are useful - sites you don't agree with are too.

Learn how to argue.

I'm not that great at it, but it's not a goal of mine. But, given your passion and postings, you need to learn the mechanics of argument, besides wailing and rage.

You are ready to be articulate, Angelique, but you don't know the patterns.

At this point, I see you as an insulting rager, sans comprehension of a side or sides or many sides.

I'll change that opinion if I see otherwise..

study? that's funny.
i looked up mnemonics. It says it's a process of improving the memory. I'll remember that.
I'm studying school stuff like algebra, civics, boring crap.

Was everyone just fighting on here while i was gone?
