Viral, by Kathy Reichs. It's for teenagers, but it's good.

Myth America: Historians Take On the Biggest Legends and Lies About Our Past, Kevin M. Kruse, Julian E. Zelizer

Made up of a bunch of chapters dealing with various historical misconceptions, it's lively and moves fast. Obviously covering a topic like the New Deal, American Imperialism, or relations with Native Americans in depth would require more than a chapter but the various authors do a good job outlining their topics and establishing their case.

@Yalow,
'instances of the number 3' - Salley Vickers

A new author for me... in the author bio it mentions that she has written a previous novel, 'Miss Garnet's Angel', which was very well reviewed

At the bottom of the front cover it states...

UNCORRECTED PROOF - NOT FOR SALE

And yet, at the bottom of the back cover we read

£12.99! Laughing

Very enjoyable read Smile

@hingehead,
hingehead - Is it any good?

The book was written in 1998 when West was 82 years old! The story is about a Cardinal in Rome... West's prescience is startling! Thoroughly recommended! Smile

Now reading

@hingehead,
'The Last Don' - Mario Puzo

Murder and mayhem spread out over Las Vegas and Los Angeles, with some overseas travel thrown in (as are several characters... 'thrown in', I mean)

@Region Philbis,
I once read four books that quickly, they were, Art and Culture by Phyllis Stein, American Independence by Bertha Nation, Common Cold Symptoms by Ron E Nose and Sliding Down the Bannisters by Major Bumsaw.

And those four books are every bit as real as the other four.
