@spendius,
I agree that's awkward - which was part of my noticing it.

Would you give me an instance GW of where you think I have not been being serious? It is easy to level charges without evidence.

Please don't ruin my fantasy that you are actually never serious and are just here to goad us all into giving you attention. I like to picture you as a lonely Monty Python type character who really adores women and drinks nothing but tea. I probably just got the lonely part right.

I wouldn't mind being lonely for a while. It would make a relaxing change from the madness I'm embroiled in. There were 8 bloody monsters in my lounge yesterday ranging from 4 to 7 watching cartoons on my new 47" LPG telly. One of the little buggers, a female of course, hit me on the shin with a pan which they had been playing house with in a tent in the garden along with all the cushions, vases and and towels they could find.

I do drink tea but I prefer beer in the late evenings and I can do a range of funny walks when I'm in the mood.

@djjd62,
Thanks, dj.

I've started listening to audiobooks on my commute.
They make the drive semi-bearable.

@Razor Eddie,
Read Anansi Boys a couple of weeks back. Just got American Gods from the used book store.

Why don't used book stores ever have Pratchett?

@DrewDad,
DrewDad, check out Powell Books' website. They had the best colelction of Pratchett I have ever seen (even better than my own collection). They had new and used as well as a graphic novel and at least one collection of Discworld art.

I bought Carpe Jugulum (OMG, I loved that one!), The Fifth Elephant, Hogfather, Jingo, The Last Hero (oversized graphic novel), and The Art of Discworld (oversized). Also bought some Larry Niven novels.

@George,
Right now I am currently reading "Death By Black Hole....And Other Cosmit Quandaries" by Neil deGrauss Tyson

It's a fascinating book to read. Whereas most people if asked how they would like to die would say: "Surrounded by family" or "In my sleep" Neil deGrauss Tyson says "By black hole." Mr. Tyson is the host of NOVA now on PBS and one of the leading experts in Astronomy. In this book he goes on to explain how exactly one would perish if one actually did manage to die via black hole. Not only that but he elaborates further on many more subjects such as Intelligent Design, theory of relativity, and so forth.
