Cryptic 112

65A I have I-M-R-I-G. I thought of IMMERSING but don't get the connection.
I can't figure out 66d 'Commends increase in footnotes' which comes off the second letter in 65A
I have got M-A-SES
Is 69A CAB?
Apart from those 3, it hasn't been too bad.

I don't have the crossword in question so cannot help with 65a and 69a.
Can you provide the clues?

However, I'm pretty sure that 66d is PRAISES ("increase" = RAISE and "footnotes" = P.S).

66d = praises
69a = cab

69A is CB radio with A in middle so yes cab is right.
Imur is right with praises as it is PS (footnotes) with raise (increase) in between P and S.
Can't help with 65A as I didn't write answers down and have sent entry away Mental block can't remember what I worked it out to be.

Imur, I should have put the clue in, it was
"shipping in goods, I'm left at sea giving half away"
Now I have the answer I can see it fits well.
Time to prepare for a white out operation.
