Did Craven de Kere kill a bear?

The thing that REALLY disgusts me about all you so called bear lovers, is that not a single one of you has cared to ask what the putative bear in question was grizzling ABOUT.

Perhaps it was a putative mercy killing....voluntary ursanasia...has anyone thought of that?

Perhaps the bear was in unbearable pain, or despair...perhaps it bared its soul to Craven and said:

"All my life is dark and dreary, all my roads are sad and weary,
Please oh please just killl me deary" quoth the bear all damp and teary,
"Bear, oh bear" he said most cheerly, "though your roads seem sad and weary,
Though despair has cost you dearly, only think and ponder, really!
'Tis the midnight, dark and dour; come the dawn perchance that your
Spirits rise with morning sun? You'll frisk and scamper and have fun?
Quoth the Grizzly: "Nevermore!"

Well, where the hell are you going in such a hurry?

And I agree, it's not gas - if it were, there'd be passed out or dead bodies on the road behind your big harey butt.

dagmaraka, you sure seem to like to tell people what to do, otherwise you are bossy.

dlowan, I did ask why the bear was killed.

Most of you that have been here awhile don't listen or read what people ask imo. I have seen that countless times. Maybe you have become complacent, I don't know. You are so quick to make judgements and be cruel. I guess that is easy for you since it is on an internet forum.

Also dagmaraka, you said I should ask him myself. I was told I couldn't or I would have.

welll, then don't ask him if you can't. period. why ask others? would you like somebody posting how they came across a picture of yours somewhere else and then making a thread about it? i sure wouldn't. and i'm not telling you what to do, just what i don't like. what you do is your choice, and your consequences to bear.

the rest is a joke...but you wouldn't get that, osso says.

Huh! A lot you know! As a Canadian, home to the Grizzly and Polar Bears, not to mention other persuasions, the last thing I'd kill or "Mame" would be a bear.

Now, wascally wabbits, on the other hand...

I simply asked a yes or no question. At least that is what I thought it was. Then when some of you wanted more information I only answered your questions. I didn't name the site, post a link or even link the picture. All I wanted to know was did he kill the bear. Last time I asked a question regarding him was about a bunny. So, I won't ask anymore questions regarding him and animals.

I'd forgotten about the amazing JLN self-portrait that Joanne Dorel posted at The Realm. Simply amazing.

and a pic of Mary Pope as a tiny tot. I have that one saved at home from about 7 years ago - but it's nice to see it online - she won't ever be forgotten this way.

Big smiles here.
