Thanks epenthesis for your answers. Unfortunately no, the puzzle is a list of cryptic clues in which the resulting answers tie together somehow. Just have the number of letters of the answers in brackets.

You got lots more than me, cafta. Thanks for your answers.

1. OSCAR (Overseas Car=Oscar the grouch)

8. I didn't get "hope" but "rock". Why "hope"?

And can you tell me how they are related to love, the title?

Thanks for your imput Crypticheadache. I have no idea of the tie in to the title! Was hoping for lots of help from other Lovatt's fans but not much response! Looks like I have to be patient and wait for the next Colossus issue!

Orpheus and Lucinda?! I don't think so.

Try "Orpheus and Eurydice".

My answer for 8 is Rock which would lead to "Rock and Roll".

My answer for 4 is Bert which gives "Bert and Ernie".

I reached the answer finally. Reconsider "felix", "chips", "hyde/jekyll", "hope", "miss", "queen"...and of course, "lucinda"!

MY internet research led me to VENUS...and ADONIS. A shakespear sonnet. It was the partnership I didn't have. The answer is really clever.
