Cryptic Riddle Has Me Stumped

Has anyone seen a riddle of this type before?

"ls b sp cl h tcr oc bs ma lg q ?"

I've been exploring patterns mathematically but have yet to find a lead. It doesn't seem to be a 26-base number pattern of any sort. Exploring ciphers to decode something to work from isn't getting me anywhere either.

Is anyone familiar with any sort of compression strategies that could be in play here? Does this look similar to other riddles encountered before? I'm looking for fresh ideas that might lead to a solution.

Thank you! =)

I have no idea what that might mean. I'd be curious to know the context in which it popped up, and I wonder if the spaces themselves might be part of the code.

Try something like a caesar cipher:

Could be a letter substitution code that includes spaces.
