LOS ANGELES - Poor Britney is really in a funk now.
The former assistant with whom the singer is said to have had a Sapphic fling has been subpoenaed to testify about the erratic pop star's mothering skills.
Shannon Funk, 21, is the latest member of Britney Spears' inner circle to be slapped with legal papers by ex-hubby Kevin Federline's legal team.
K-Fed once again had an ex-Israeli commando, Aaron Cohen, serve the subpoena to Funk.
Cohen caught up with the 21-year-old Funk yesterday as she got off a plane in Long Beach, Calif. She was returning from New York, where she dished dirt about her former boss to OK! magazine.
OK! revealed intimate details of Funk's girl-on-girl play with Spears, which the former assistant denies in the cover story.
Funk is the fourth person to be served in the nasty custody battle: Spears' current assistant Alli Sims, record producer Jonathan (J.R.) Rotem and former bodyguard Daimon Shippen have also been ordered to sit for depositions.
K-Fed's legal team is collecting evidence to try to prove Spears is an unfit mom to sons Sean Preston, who's almost 2, and Jayden James, 11 months.
Us Weekly is the latest magazine to wag its finger at Spears.
Several former nannies told the mag Spears frequently drank in front of her kids.
"At first, the drinks would help her loosen up and not be so angry. But she'd inevitably drink too much and be out of it, at which point the nannies would take care of the kids," one former caretaker said.
It may seem like everyone has turned their backs on poor Brit, but this week her parents, Jamie and Lynne Spears, refused to sign statements they gave K-Fed's lawyers detailing their daughter's parenting skills and naughty behavior.
