(1) If i wrap a peice of iron in copper wire, will it produce a different field if i wrap it counter-clockwise or clockwise?
Its called the right hand rule, if your fingers point in the direction of the current your thumb i guess is the north-pole.

(im thinking if i wrap counterclockwise with negative side to the left and then clockwise with negative to the left i will produce 2 different fields? im pretty sure the magnetic field direction doesnt equate to motion though..)

(2)Do magnetic fields cancel each other out?

say i arranged like 20 bar magnets, and had the negative sides facing inward and arranged them spherically, would that cancel out?

(3)And if i made a halbach array, could it be made spherical? they use circular ones in motors i know that, but i was thinking make like 4 circular arrays, then put them together equidistant to make a spherical one, but that leads to the second question of whether they cancel or not.
yep, strangely enough its called a halbach sphere Razz

(4)i know about electromagnets wrapped in wire, but if i just connect two electrodes to either end of a bar of iron will it also create an electromagnet?

(4b)And if it does, what will the field look like compared to a regular electromagnet?
